Ring In An Edmonds Kind of New Year

In a city that loves to celebrate, there are so many options for NYE fun and beyond. Whether you’re looking for an East Coast Toast, interested in kid entertainment, or want to catch early Zzzs so you can prep for our annual New Year’s Day Polar Plunge, Edmonds has many ways to ring in 2026 your way.

Keep reading (and bookmark this page for updates—many restaurants are still prepping their NYE fetes) to find the perfect places to eat, drink, smooch, and dance into the New Year.

But First, Glam

2025 has been a year, hasn’t it? You deserve to spend the last day of it feeling your finest. Get a blowout from Frequency Collective or Slate (guys can get a super-clean shave at Auda’s Barber Shop), a manicure at Main Street Nails, a facial from Next Ov Skin, jewels from Comstock (they sponsored last month’s tree lighting and the trolley, so please give them some love) or Cline, and a full ensemble from Anchor Chic, Pear Tree, NC Concept Store or Little Bipsy

Now, you’re really ready to party.

Consider The Kiddos (and Yourself)

On December 31st, KidStrong Edmonds is hosting a Parents' Day Out. Parents can drop kids off for three hours for games and obstacle courses, crafts, pizza, and a balloon drop NYE celebration for kids ages 4-11. Younger kids (walking to under four) can enjoy a similar, age-appropriate event with snacks and fun! This is the perfect time for you to enjoy a kid-free dinner out or glam session. Text NYE EVENT to (425) 678-2575 and they’ll get you all signed up!

Countdowns Around Town

If 2026 were your paramour (and she should be), you’d show her a great time. You’d wine and dine her. You’d dress to impress. You’d put your phone far out of view. You’d flirt, lean in, and weave your fingers through hers. Spend your night doing just that at one restaurant or several.

A large handful of our suggestions:

If you’re manifesting a tropical vacation in the new year, head over to Calypso for Caribbean sips and eats just a few blocks up from the ferry. The restaurant may not stay open until midnight, but we have a strong suspicion they could be convinced.

Bar Americano, Daphnes’ cute Italian cousin, surely has something to serve up its sleeve. If this is your new go-to spot (and it should be), stay in the know about their NYE plans here.

At Bar Dojo, ring in the new year with Chef Luis’ five-course pre-fixe menu ($135), featuring standout dishes like Hamachi Crudo with Osetra caviar, Wagyu Beef Tartare, Five Spice Braised Short Ribs, and Lilikoi Crème Brûlée. For this special evening, Bar Dojo will offer only the pre-fixe menu and their kids’ menu.

Charcoal will be serving up a series of specials. Keep your eye on their website for updates, and splurge on the wine pairing while you’re there!

The ChurchKey Pub will hand out a glass of champagne to everyone inside when the clock strikes midnight.

Every night is a party at Engels. If you want to go where the locals go, this is your 2026 watering hole.

Even if you can’t stay until the bell tolls, Epulo Bistro always wins best-dressed on party nights. Start your party plans there—and don’t miss their Mistletoe Lounge to get in the spirit between 12/14-23!—and see where the evening takes you.

Head to Fire & The Feast where Chef Dan will present a New Year’s prix fixe menu with curated wine pairing suggestions, available Wednesday 12/31 through Sunday 1/4, alongside the regular menu.

Kelnero is so ready to ring in 2026 and bid adieu to 2025 with a bang! Stop in for a casual celebration with cocktail specials, caviar, half off top shelf spirits, Champagne, and sparkly vibes. Grab a drink and a bite before you head to a party, or ring in the new year with your Kelnero crew and some Champagne-flavored kisses! They’ll be open late to ensure everyone has the chance to enter 2026 among the loving embrace of friends. No reservations needed. Sparkly attire encouraged but not required.

At Salt and Iron, Chef Zach is celebrating the holiday with a special New Year’s menu that includes Chicken Fried Lobster, a Bone-In Long Rib, Foie Gras, and a festive Snow Globe Dessert, alongside the regular menu.

Vinbero invites you to their annual “East Coast Toast” Supper Club, where every wine glass (and your outfit) sparkles. Enjoy a multi-course meal starting at 6pm, with each dish paired alongside magnificent and exciting wine. At 9pm, partygoers will raise their glasses for an "East Coast Toast" with some social time afterward, but it'll be early enough that all you party people can still make it to other New Year's parties or tuck in early.

This year, the team at Vinbero will honor their beloved late Chef Morgan Batali by featuring some of the finest Supper Club fare he created during his tenure as Vinbero’s Executive Chef. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to enjoy Chef Morgan’s stunning talent one last time. Join them as they raise glasses in appreciation and remembrance. Reserve your seat here

If You’re Feeling Bold

The 16th Annual Polar Bear Plunge

Meet us at the beach at 1pm on January 1, or circle up with a toddy at Daphnes (the creator and meeting place for this now beloved annual event) for a little hair of the dog before practicing your Wim Hof breathing for the 17th annual Polar Bear Plunge. This is your chance to run into the water with a 2026 intention, pump your fists, and get your nervous system freaked out and then quickly regulated for all the good that’s to come in the next year. Hey, we know it’s counterintuitive, but we’ve heard it’s scientifically proven.

A nice beach or pier stroll while enjoying some deep inhales and ferry views is a great way to start a new year, we thinks, whether you plunge or choose to observe the plunge, warm beverage in hand.

Wherever and however you ring it all in, show us your celebrations by tagging #edmondsholidays on Facebook and Instagram.

Happy New Year!
